This is going to be all about my trip to taiwan. Yes, finally my wish do come true or rather I have finally allow myself to go to Taiwan, Taipei. Its my very very first trip of the year to overseas and many things happened just this year along. Yes, people says that those born in the year of pig is going to suffer and indeed, I have my fair share of suffering which is rather unbearable at times. Overall, I finally managed to overcome and hope that life will be much better this coming few months. Just wish that I can find a job that I am able to get good pay and good prospect in life.
On the very first day, 07-07-2007 marks the very day that we embark on
our journey to Taiwan on Jetstar 3K 521 at 1300h. Finally, the preparations that we have done previously, the anticipation that we held, all we can say is we are prepared to enjoy our very first trip. My graduation trip! Finally! The plane took us 4 hours and 40 minutes and by the time we reach Tao Yuan airport, we headed to the customer service counter to sign up for our Youth pass that allows us to have discounts across Taipei. By the time we left airport, its about 1830h and the bus ride took us about 1 hour before we reach Taipei main station. Taipei main station is just like an interchange whereby you can actually take either the Train, MRT, Bullet train, Bus and Cab. All in one station where you can choose your transportation. Yes, to head to our hotel at Xi Men Ding, we took the MRT which is just a station away and we got ourselves the easi card which is similar to Singapore, Ez Link card. And it costs us roughly SIN $25 bucks. All I can say, its really worthwhile cause everywhere you go, you need this card. So then, we took the MRT and we almost got lost as to where is our hotel. Futurestar! All I can say is that, the hotel seems nice, the decoration is great but the room is way too small for the 4 of us so we stay for a night and decided to change to another hotel instead. After a short of wash up, we get change and headed to Shi Lin Market for our dinner. We are starving and we decided to try all kind of food. Oh my, finally.. But the worst, I was sick, suffering from sore throat, nose bleeding and terrible cramps! But then, I told myself, I must enjoy since its like been a long time since I actually get to enjoy myself. Just like my aunt told me, don't think too much, go and enjoy yourself! Shop and eat... Great! Back to the hotel to get change where we headed to Pasoul for clubbing session. Super expensive entrance fee, and the drinks are toos trong. And well, EYE Opening for us..The girls are so daring...They can just take off their tops and started dancing on the stage. Oh my..This explains why so many guys are there!
On the second day, we decided to check out and move to another hotel which is East Dragon Hotel. Its great cause there is breakfast included (FYI, its pretty the same breakfast which includes 3 eggs, a piece of ham, 2 small little bun and a cup of coffee, tea or fruit juice). However, we get to stay in the a room that is with 2 queen size bed, one small dining room, tv with 100 over channels, a dressing table, bathroom with bathtube. Finally, we get to have a decent room to stay. Can see the smiling face on everyone face! Hee.. :)...Happy girls! Once we put our luggages, we headed for our breakfast which is at Ding Tai Feng. The original one at Taiwan. Thats what we always wanted cause in Singapore, we refrain ourselves from eating so that we can tried it out in Taiwan. The 1 hour place of waiting was rather worthwhile cause it tastes great! Happy girl with happy food! Next to it, there is this bookshop and we browse for our magazines and I got myself 2 which is going to take me sometimes cause its ALL CHINESE! Oh my, I have such a huge difficulties in reading those! Slowly... After the hearty meal, we headed back to the hotel to get a little rest and decide to stay at Xi Men Ding for shopping. The first shop that we went to will be the music record shops and Miss Niam was excited when she saw Fei Lun First Photograph Album. At the same time, they are having the autograph session over at Hong Long Jiu Chang. Yes, we queue for 6 hours...You might think its crazy but then, well, you know our dear Ms Fish is so into them so we have to queue to see them..Poor Ms SK got to explore the hotel for 3 hours and playing with the switch. Poor girl...I guess she is happy to get her bag I suppose so. Whle Miss Fish queue, both me and Ms ST to shop around Xi Men Ding and ended got donuts and Ru Rao Fan. Nice!!! After the autograph session, we headed back to Shi Lin Night Market to shop again to get some stuffs. This time round, I got myself bags, clothes and etc. All I must say, shopping is just the best hobby for most girls! Dinner and shopping is simply wonderful.
Third day, as usual, its going to be a long day for us. Woke up early and we decided to give the breakfast a try and indeed, eggs and hams and bread again. But my beloved beancurd drink to just kick start my day. After the breakfast, we decided to head down to Taipei 101 to take some photos and lunch over at the food court. All I must say is that the food court is huge and not forgetting the amount of food serving is quite huge. Its simply too much for us! But its rather tasty overall. After photo taking, we took the bus back to the train station to take the mrt to Kunyang station and hop on to the cab to make our way to the TV Station - Zhong Shi to attend Guess Guess Guess variety show. The duration for the recording is 3 hours. We get to see Wu Zhong Xian and in fact, his head is rather big though. The host for that particular episode is Yen Yen and Makiyo. As for the other celebrities, it will be Ke You Lun, Bang Bang Tang, Shi Rong, Di Ke Niu Zai and Hei Sei Hui Mei Mei. For those who want to visit or watch any variety show recording, you can always email to the incharge which is called Ah Chen. He is rather a cute and funny guy. Its so easy to get the tickets than in Singapore I suppose so. After recording, we headed to Jiantan station to take the free shuttle bus to Miramar. Dinner at the Food court again...Great food, great puffs!...Headed to take our ferris wheel and it took a total of 17 minutes for one round. Nice night view, and definitely a romantic one though! We begin taking photos and forget all about viewing the night views. After that, we headed for our KTV session over at Party world. All I must say, I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE OVERALL SERVICE and THE ROOMS! Oh my, you can forget about Singapore KTV caused, once you go to the Taiwan one, you will find that Singapore is really really CMI. Thats according to my personal view though. Singing for 3 hours before we headed back to hotel for a good rest. Just so tired...
On the fourth day, woke up slightly later and decided to head down to Jiu Fen. While on our way to Jiu Fen, we decided to shop around the Taipei Station Underground Mall and the shoes are nice which caused about NT200 which is roughly about 8 bucks SIN dollars. Can you believe it? Its just so cheap that we shop and shop. Took our loots and headed to take a bus to Ye Liu. 1 hour of bus ride and we simply sleep on the bus. Ye Liu is a place where you can get to see the rock formation. Its the Queens head that was formed naturally. Get to breathe some nice fresh air though.After that, we took the cab to Jiu Fen which is about 45 minutes of cab ride that cause us NT 800 which is about 40 dollars. Quite expensive but then, no choice...Thats the way it should be though. I basically just sleep on the cab till we decided to visit Jiu Fen. Jiu Fen is a place where you get to buy Sun Biscuits and some stuffs which you can hardly find in town. Nice shop houses, nice places, nice ambience. It was cooling cause it was raining. The rain makes the temperature cooler. People there are very friendly and they can actually know where we come from.. Besides that, soon we headed down Ji Long and grab those roadside stall food and take the bus back to Taipei Main Station and back to hotel for our dinner. Dinner is alright for me...But isn't as fantastic as I thought though. Soon, after dinner, we took the train to Song San Station before we realise that we are actually LOST! Took the wrong direction of the train and soon we are late for 1 hour and that 1 hour we can actually do some shopping though. Sad..But kind of fun though. Shopping around at Wu Fen Pu and soon headed back to hotel to get a good rest.
Fifth day...Oh my, one more full day left at Taiwan. So sad and unbelievable, in the morning, we went to do perming at XMD. I did my digital perm which cause me close to 150 bucks in Singapore. I love the services and the salon. You get to watch tv again and of course perming your hair. Hair hair hair! And stuck at the salon for 2 hours before we headed to Wu Fen Pu once again to do shopping. Shopping again is great but the bad part is that it is raining. Just so sad. Shop till evening and we headed to Dan Shui to have our dinner. Dinner is ok, where you get to shop at Dan Shui store that sells stuffs at only NT 50. Good services and we buy and buy before we headed to take the ferry to Yu Ren Ma Tou. Too bad, there is no more ferry and we decided to take the bus there. Took photos with nice view, thats our objective. But too bad, to us, its a couple bridge where you can see couples around where we are friends. Hee...Looking around are couples...Sad...Back to the MRT station before we decided to put our heavy load, get change and head down to clubbing at Luxy. Just nice, its Wednesday night and we get free entrance. I must say, EYE OPENING! Cause we get to see Wen Da Dong from Fei Lun Hai. Oh my...He is sooooo....GOOOD LOOOOOKING!!!! We happened to be on the same lift as him. SO NICE!! And my dear friend is like smiling throughout the whole night. That makes her trip so unforgetable right? Miss Fish! Haha.. :)...She loves him so much... OH my...Better stop drooling. Besides that, many pretty babes, good looking hunks around! I guess we can forget about going clubbing in Singapore. Oh my... Thats the most enjoyable night I suppose.
Last day, on the 6th day...I must say, its going to be the last day at Taiwan. Woke up for our breakfast and headed to Long Shan Shi to go pray pray. It is said to be a very good place for praying. Went to pray and then back to meet up with the other 2 girls before we headed to shop at Taipei Main station again.. Shoes again! Hee...As for the girls, they went for massage while I make my way to buy donuts. I have such a huge difficulties in communicating in Chinese and I suppose, I better brush up and speak more though. And then, we headed back to the hotel before we say Bye Bye to Taiwan. Took Fei Gou to the airport and soon, everything has to be back to reality. Just so sad... We just miss Taiwan so much and defintely we will be back...I guess we decided to go next year soon... Bought total 7 pairs of shoes, 21 tops, 1 dress, 1 bottoms, 8 bags. Thats what I got. I suppose I shall go for more days the next time... Reach Singapore around 11pm. Just some concidence stuffs which is the guys that we went for Guess Guess Guess recording happened to be on the same flight as us! Oh my... Back to reality...
Thanks girls for everything and making this trip so unforgetable and something for me to remember as my graduation trip. I just love to shop shop shop and eat eat eat. Lets plan the next one real soon...Everything has been impossible without you guys! Thanks once again...
